Coach Trips

Our coach trips are open to all Upminster u3a members. Details are published, along with booking forms 6 to 8 weeks before each event. All members will be notified when booking opens

Our coach trips are organised and led by the Coach Trips Committee. Currently this consists of Pamela Freer, Chris Slade, Lesley Elias, Beryl Patient, Jill Coombes and Shirley Boelrijk

We always welcome any offers of help from our current membership.

We are pleased to announce the following coach trips for 2026. If you are interested in a particular trip please save the date and look out for our email or letter with the full details.

March – Friday 27 - Anglesey Abbey

A lovely Jacobean house set in extensive and beautiful gardens with over 100 sculptures and an old flour mill. National Trust.

May – Friday 01 –Preston Manor

An Edwardian manor house in Brighton only re-opened last year after extensive refurbishment. Free time in Brighton after our tour.

May – Tuesday 26 - Cambridge Botanic Garden

40 acres of gardens including many rare species close to the centre of Cambridge.

June – Tuesday 30 - Castle Farm Lavender

A guided walk through the lavender fields at the height of their glory and a chance to learn all about the different types of lavender and how it is grown, harvested and distilled.

July - Wednesday 29 - Stansted House

An elegant and magnificently furnished country house in 1800 acres of grounds in Hampshire.

August – Wednesday 26 - Hall Place

A Grade I listed house in Bexley built in 1547 and set in extensive gardens incorporating a small museum and temporary exhibitions.

September – Wednesday 30 - Capel Manor Gardens and Copped Hall

Two nearby attractions in one day.

October – Wednesday 28 - Rochester

A guided walking tour of the town followed by visits to one or more of the town’s attractions.

November – Tuesday 24 - Milestones

A living history museum with streets, shops and buildings recreating life from Victorian times to the 1940s. All under cover.

December – Wednesday 09 - Saint Hill Manor

This is the headquarters of the Church of Scientology and is an interesting house set in lovely grounds. We will have a three course Christmas lunch here.
